The surroundings

Peace, panoramic views and plenty of nature

The Resseggerhof is located at around 1,400 metres above sea level in Obertall near Schenna, in a sunny and peaceful setting surrounded by meadows and forests. From here, the views stretch across the Merano basin, into the Passeiertal Valley and as far as the Vinschgau Valley. At the same time, the farm is an ideal starting point for exploring the mountains around Hirzer and Ifinger.

The village of Obertall and the middle station of the Hirzer cable car are just a 10-minute walk away. Other lifts, such as the Verdins cable car and the Grube chairlift, can also be reached in just 15 minutes on foot. The Resseggerhof is surrounded by an extensive hiking area with alpine pasture trails, panoramic paths and summit tours.

Activities

Active outdoors – from leisurely walks to summit hikes

Around the Resseggerhof, your holiday practically begins right on the doorstep. Numerous hiking trails lead through forests, across alpine meadows and to rustic mountain huts. Especially beautiful are the tours through the Tall area, for example towards Prenn, Videgg or the alpine huts below Hirzer. Those who want to aim higher will also find a demanding summit hike to the Hirzer peak at 2,781 metres, rewarded with impressive panoramic views.

In addition to hiking, the surrounding area also offers opportunities for cycling, mountain biking and paragliding. At the farm itself, guests can also visit the barn and get an insight into everyday farm life.
